The Combined Clubs

The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club (R.B.Y.C.) and The Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club (R.H.A.D.C.), formed a Race Management Committee “The Combined Clubs” to oversee and manage their One-design keelboat regattas. This Committee was expandced for the 2012 season to include the Bermuda Offshore Crfuising Association (B.O.C.A.) and the Bermuda Yacht racing Association (B.Y.R.A.). The aims of this committee are:

  1. Provide a consistent race management experience, including sailing instructions, rules, scoring, and courses;
  2. Organise the race management team, including Race Officer of the Day, volunteers, and paid staff;
  3. Organise the on-the-water regatta logistics, including committee boats, signals, marks, etc.; and
  4. Provide judges for protest arbitration and protest juries.

The Combined Clubs will use the assets of the member clubs to organise racing. The Combined Clubs Committee will be made up of the Chairmen of the respective club’s Sailing Committees, and two race officials from each member club. The Committee shall chose a Chairman and Deputy Chairman from different member clubs.
