Posting Results to lFlag.com

 It is a simple process to post your results to LFlag.com for a wide audience to view them

 

 

1. Use Sailwave for the scoring - it can publish to LFlag dreictly from the program
2. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for a user account on the site to store in your copy of Sailwave
3. Score results and publish to the FTP site.

Initial Set Up

Download Sailwave (free programme)

[Setup] [Global Options]

Add the Account and Password as provided.

Create a test event and publish to the site to check it is working, then contact LFlag to have the test event removed.

Per Regatta - tips

The event and venue burgees need to reference images stored at LFlag.com. The following are stored:

BFDA,BOCA,BSA,BYRA,Byte,C420,Comet,Etchells,IOD,J24,J105,Laser,Opti,PHRF,RBYC,RHADC

all files are .gif (and note the capitalisation in the name).

The files will all be in each directory.

Scoring

Before scoring we recommend using [Edit] [Mark Unsailed as excluded] & [Edit] {Mark sailed as included] to make sure the "esxcluded" flag is set correctly. Then score the results.

Use [View] [Hide excluded] to remove excluded competitors from the results.

Publishing

When ready to publish, first publsih the results to your browser to check all ok. After that send to LFlag.com by publsihing to FTP.

The filename contanis the folder to store the file in, and the name of the event. The event name will be shown in the website, and we suggest it include the year. It needs to end with ".htm"

When you recieved your account information, the folders for your Club or Class will have been set up and advised.

Publish and check on the website.
